THE DAY WHALE CONSERVATION BEGAN IN THE AZORES

SEPTEMBER 9 1987

The last whale was killed in the Azores.

SEPTEMBER 10 1987

The next morning, the whales awakened to a new dawn. One where they would be no longer hunted. From now on they would swim free. Protected by those who once hunted them.

The foundation focusses on multi-year partnerships and providing funding for organisations and projects that promote marine conservation, reduction of plastics, and related ocean education and research.
